Taken the evening we returned home from Banff - I heard a rush of wind while backing up my photos to my computer, and looked outside, to see this huge double rainbow in my back yard. I ran out with my camera and my husband. I couldn't find a satisfactory foreground element and thought it was a perfect time to take yet another portrait of us - unfortunately in our lounging-about-the-house wear, but I guess that makes it more real.
Used: Canon 5D MK II, 17-40f/4L, circular polarizer filter
, tripod. (Used the 10 second timer as usual for the portraits I take of us.
)Thanks for looking!
For those of you curious on how/why to use a circular polarizer filter to help enhance rainbows, or for more uses of a polarizer filter, here are a few links for some great tips:
EDIT: Thank you for the DD!
