Description
Taken the evening we returned home from Banff - I heard a rush of wind while backing up my photos to my computer, and looked outside, to see this huge double rainbow in my back yard. I ran out with my camera and my husband. I couldn't find a satisfactory foreground element and thought it was a perfect time to take yet another portrait of us - unfortunately in our lounging-about-the-house wear, but I guess that makes it more real.
Used: Canon 5D MK II, 17-40f/4L, circular polarizer filter, tripod. (Used the 10 second timer as usual for the portraits I take of us. )
Thanks for looking!
For those of you curious on how/why to use a circular polarizer filter to help enhance rainbows, or for more uses of a polarizer filter, here are a few links for some great tips:

Fantastic! The only time I saw a double rainbow to rival that was while hiking in Denali National Park while trying to photograph marmots and wolverines. That's in my massive slide collection which will take years to scan!
Belated CONGRATULATIONS on your DD!
