Is that a lake down there or just some more trees?

Yes, there is a lake down there; the mist is creeping off of the lake and into a town :)

This is exactly what all book authors are trying to describe when they say: ".. deep in the mountains, the fog slowly whispering through the peaks, ice-cold wind gushing in the trees.."
Goodness this is great.

I haven't been there since I was a kid. All I remember is that the camper truck broke down while we were on a driving holiday cuz dad forgot to top up the oil and the engine seized, LOL! Well it didn't seem LOL back then! It's a sweet little town from what I recall - so much to see all over our neck of the woods and I'm stuck in Vancouver broke with no vehicle or proper camera! Now that's a big ARG! :D

Really great photo! What sorts of post processing was done to it? If it's okay to ask.

Camera Raw + some burn tool, played with the hues and saturations of separate colors a bit, some noise reduction.

Nice.. not too far from Banff and all the other goodies around there.

I've yet to drive in past the Okanagan, but I'll definitely do it next summer. I've been looking at too many photos from around there, so nothing will stop me.

Haha then go to Illecillewaet. There's tons of hikes up there, overnighters etc. It's one of my favorite places to hike. :D
