First ever outing with some filters. Went to an old swimming place my buddies and I used to bike to when we were kids to catch the sunset. (Shuswap Lake, British Columbia, Canada)
Used: Canon 5D MKII, Canon 17-40 f/4L, B+W 77mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer Slim MRC Filter, Singh-Ray 4x6" Graduated Neutral Density (3-stop) Optical Resin Filter, and a tripod.
Wow. The amazing, vibrant colours, the great quality and composition-- everything. Just... wow. The only thing I find disturbing is the clump of grass. I'm not sure why, the contrast between the colours are great and everything, but the way it's just smack there in the middle just doesn't work with me, looks a little odd. Which is really my problem anyway, so it's a great shot altogether anyway!
