How about a narrower crop to focus on the bird more? Right now, the right of the frame is pretty much empty space.

Something like a square, or even portrait. Let me know what you think.

Thank you. I was already on the fence as to whether or not it should be a square crop, and when I look at it today, I'd have to say it's much better.

I think it would be even better if the bird is along the left vertical 1/3 rather than in the middle.

I felt it should be that way too, because of the way the head is tilted. I will fool with it again, but I did before, and it still seemed like empty space.

Then I would make it a portrait crop, but still put the bird according to the rule of thirds. Have you tried that?

Alright. So the portrait crop just looked weird and claustrophobic. So, I cropped it to a square crop, zooming it in more than I previously had and applied the rule of thirds to it, putting the bird in the left as I had originally wanted to but with a tighter crop.
